Baby Shower Basket Cake

Everything on this cake is edible.

The basket is the main cake, a 12" round Victoria Sandwich Sponge Cake as requested by the recipient.The shoes I made from half and half, gum paste and fondant. likewise the pacifier, frog rattle and silver rattle. The teddy bear, powder, baby lotion and rubber duck were all handmade with home made rice krispie treats. they were them formed, covered twice in fondant before air brushing were appropriate.

The weave effect in the basket was done using individual pieces of fondant, and then airbrushed. I used the same half and half for the basket handles. twisted them. formed them and allowed the to dry before air brushing and inserting into the cake. The onsie is made from Fondant, with a picture from ice age as requested by the recipient.
