Though no fall Foliage, this cake was made for a couple celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary (wood and silverware). The idea was to make a replica of their annual "spread" to represent their relationship and memories of "falling... in love". I was happy to be a part of a very meaningful time in their lives, as they have a really amazing story behind their relationship/love for one another. The cake is chocolate with cherry and vanilla buttercream filling. Covered in fondant and painted with gel colors. Each piece (bread, grapes, cork screw, olives, cheese) were made by hand with fondant. The sopressata (italian salami) "log" was made with fondant and wafer paper, slices of meat were made with gelatin and some fondant. Thanks for checking out my cake!
